A Cappella Maltese

So much went into the planning and construction of ‘The Dog House’ or wing built onto our East Texas home.  Being a serious Maltese Enthusiast a serious area for the dogs was needed, not only for all the ‘dog stuff’ but and place for dogs and puppies that was more of a home environment then a kennel. A place where all could be safe, the area easily cleaned and disinfected.  A place for me to spend the day with the dogs…and evenings too.  At the present time we are in our North Central Texas home, but the 'babies' still have their own room. We hope to retire soon back to the East Texas home.

I thought I would give you a glimpse of our 'dog' home.

The Puppy Room

The puppy room is 16 x 16. It gives the puppies ample room to bounce around, play and work on paper training. It also functions as a room for human socialization.  At night or times of rest they are kept in a 7 x 3 puppy pen. In the puppy pen there is newspaper on one end, food water and blankets on the other. Food and water is available at all times. This room also allows adults romping time during bad weather when they do not like to go outside.

The Grooming Room

The grooming room is constantly used and appreciated.

The Laundry Room

The laundry is incredible with dogs and puppies; their own laundry room was a must! Blankets are constantly being changed and with puppies it’s like having human newborns in the house! Those with 2 legged children know just what I’m talking about.
